do you think NFT photography is more or less valuable than generative/digital art?

they are equally valuable creatively however, i think gen art is a _more native medium_ for NFTs than photography NFTs are made of code and so is gen art. they feel at home as an NFT, while we've had photography in many forms already gen art is also less ubiquitous than photography and still novel and more nascent

You can have gen art without a Blockchain/crypto You can cryptographically authenticate a photograph. The value of on chain art is it's verifiable scarcity and provenance, not that it was generated in the first place https://i.imgur.com/9oldVcX.jpg

Yes but I would argue that the style of long-form generative art ala Artblocks is not feasible without a decentralized blockchain. Having uncurated outputs raises the bar for the artists in a way that is just 🤌
