SEC Enforcement Director Gurbir Grewal Resigns During his three years in office, Grewal authorized more than 2,400 cases, generating more than $20 billion in refunds and $1 billion in fines for the agency. In particular, Grewal filed lawsuits against Coinbase, Kraken, Ripple Labs and Binance. During his tenure, the agency authorized more than 100 processes against crypto companies.

South Korea's Personal Data Protection Commission fined Worldcoin $830,000 for violations in the collection and transfer of personal data The Worldcoin Foundation did not notify subjects of the purpose of collecting and the retention period of their scanned iris data, the company also did not provide a Korean translation of the consent form for the transfer of biometric data, and did not filter minors.

The TON network did not work for about 7 hours Overnight, Bybit announced that due to network instability, the exchange would suspend all deposits and withdrawals through TON. At the moment, TON has resumed block production. Validators restarted the blockchain. Details of the incident will apparently be released later.

Digital Currency Group announced that it has fully repaid its debt in June 2024 The company's only remaining liability is a $1.1 billion note owed to its bankrupt subsidiary, Genesis. Its maturity date will be in 2032. In 18 months, Digital Currency Group paid off more than $1 billion in debt. Digital Currency Group is the parent company of Grayscale.
