During the analysis, CoinDesk found that certain wallets owned by Eigen Labs employees received the same amount of tokens from three drops: EtherFi, Renzo and AltLayer.
CoinDesk verified the accuracy of the data obtained with the help of insiders who were familiar with the real lists of Eigen Labs employees.
AltLayer allocated 46,512 ALT tokens ($30,000 at peak) to each Eigen Labs employee; EtherFi provided 10,490 ETHFI tokens per person (peak value $80,000); Renzo allocated 66,667 REZ tokens per person (peak value $16,666).
Some projects have called this a strange thing in the crypto industry, while others have suggested it is an abuse of power.
Eigen Labs said it banned the practice in May, acknowledging it could create a conflict of interest. 0 reply
