I'm not very knowledgeable about Hypersub I never heard anything that felt compelling enough to give it a shot as an artist when many of my peers jumped on the bandwagon, although that was largely because I doubted that anyone would subscribe to an artist who struggles to sell his art The underlying streaming token mechanics of AlfaFrens were interesting enough for me to give it a shot, and I was surprised to see people subscribe (and to still have 50+ subscribers despite the huge churn the platform has seen since the initial flash of interest died down) I currently have one of the more popular channels on AF but it's far from profitable Would love to know if anyone has deep enough knowledge of both platforms to give a solid breakdown of the differentiating features, relative strengths/weaknesses, and what an artist or other creator should consider when choosing which to use, if either

Hello @yonfrula @0xen @ccarella.eth, if you have a moment, I would love to hear your thoughts about how Hypersub and AlfaFrens compare, and even if they can properly complement one another It's difficult as an artist with limited bandwidth to know what the best approaches are, as well as what to recommend to peers Thanks in advance!

hey fam, hope you're well. i know alfafrens is a chat, not much more than that...not sure if it's the right place for an artist. hypersub is a platform that works with a protocol (stp) that allows you to have subscribers a la patreon, but onchain. · automatically group subs into a warpcast chat (so it's alfafrens without leaving the purple app). · display all the drops you've made, and notify subs when they get them. · export wallet addresses from subs depending on how many months they subscribed for, so you can make different types of art drops. · you can subscribe with any token, and credit card payments are coming. i've been waiting to create my /hypersub for months, but i wanted it to have a concept and intention. this is now my third month with the /yon-experience and it has been a blast. be sure to follow @nonlinear.eth and see all the things they update and deliver.

Thanks for the detailed and thoughtful response. As a rising star who still has a relatively smol following as an artist, I wouldn't have believed that people would subscribe until it happened through AF, so I never would have created a subscription offering if I hadn't found the streaming token thing interesting enough to FAFO a bit, and since then I've been going with the flow. Those features sound compelling for artists, I'll have to think through a way to properly integrate Hypersub into my approach within the limits of my bandwidth as an artist with a full-time job to pay the bills. I would need to do it in a way that is a net benefit for the folks who already believe in me enough to subscribe on AF or hold my Moxie Fan Tokens. Like you said, with "a concept and intention", rather than the FAFO method that got me where I am. Already following @nonlinear.eth - turned on notifications so I can keep an eye on things Thanks again! I hope /yon-experience is a smashing success for you and your subscribers.
