A heuristic for how freedom-friendly your urbanism aesthetic is: If you draw an image of a city with your urbanism aesthetic, and then replace a random building with a McDonalds, how much worse does it become? Lunarpunk clearly beats solarpunk on this dimension.

Always knew that this was peak aesthetic(it can't get any worse with the inclusion of McDonald's)

It's a very freedom-respecting aesthetic! Though I do think it's not on the Pareto frontier: it could be made to look much nicer without increasing its vulnerability to a McDonalds incursion.

Appreciate the earnest reply to a semi-joke comment. Yes, I do believe that the aesthetic I posted could be made to look better. And to agree with your original post- I think it would look closer to lunarpunk than solarpunk if it was improved.
