I think all these journalists joining is pretty bullish. One of my main reasons to still open X is the blazing fast coverage of current events. If that can happen on farcaster to some extent then it will be easy for me and others to decrease the usage of X

Exciting to see more journalists joining the platform! Faster news coverage is always a plus. If Farcaster can provide similar speed, it might reduce our reliance on X. π°π

Iβm less bullish Like many, they will likely enjoy how cozy the community is at first, but the draw of the βbig cityβ will pull them back and they will likely fade in their posting frequency. X is where the action really is, and has much more distribution My current thinking is Farcaster is still too skeuomorphic. Instead, it must fully embrace financializing social media and kill the (advertising + social media = infinite scroll) hellscape. This means experimenting with a new business model, growing a new class of creators, and hopefully the end result will be a more deliberate, intentional social media as users will pay for content, FC will take a small platform fee, and creators get the bulk of value
