Well, it wasn't initially meant for AI proofing but IIT Madras used to ask its students to set up multiple cameras to get a clear view of the room and the computer screen. And asked students to run a screen grabbing software and they also monitored if a student was switching tabs or windows. it worked perfectly in most cases, probably because students didn't want to risk getting thrown out of the program.

Seems like a very blunt left brained thing to do, exactly what I’d expect from IIT, in the absence of wisdom more and more rules will be created
