@cassie what is the main reason why wQuil is on ethereum mainnet and not an L2, like, say, base?

finality — bridging from Q -> ETH is fast because Q has SSF. Bridging from ETH -> Q will be slow because there has to be enough blocks to be considered finalized. Bridging from an L2 that has a seven day window where things can be reversed is unusable.
