Farcaster

One sign that a new social platform is succeeding is that the initial top creators are mostly new and not from existing apps.

Many new crypto social apps have tried to onboard existing CryptoTwitter influencers whereas Farcaster has bootstrapped a new creator class.

CT influencers doing the same schtick won’t work either cause the culture/vibe is different. The ones that will grow here are the ones that change their content across platforms. I’m here for that, most have a lot to add but shitposting was what worked for CT

Yeah, I think platforms force the best creators to have unique content based on the form factor and early vibes. Excited to see how Warpcast culture and content evolves with more users.

Shitposting (only) is fairly low quality & I don't think you get much out of the app/other users. The interesting part of Farcaster to me is that it feels a bit like an ongoing conference - you appear where you want, look at stuff you like, and engage when you feel like it.

This is tbd imo. If the CT demographics dominate the app eventually, I don't see why culture wouldn't change as a result.
