just dawned on me why non-dev minds struggle with dev mind people. 

The dev goes through pain-staking tedious work, abstracting dozens of calls, states, and data. The non-dev mind presses 1 button and thinks, that's all, but what about the next thing. 

There is no literacy or comprehension.

Lol, sure that's true. But coming from the opposite side, the dev also never understands that a lot of processes in the real world:
a) don't care about the abstraction
b) take time. It's so fun living in a world where you push a commit and things change, whereas a sales cycle can take literally months.
