if your ledger is ever connected to a computer that has touched the internet then any key that's ever been on that device or will ever be generated on that device in future shouldn't be considered 'cold'. nothing wrong with ledger. it's just that cold is a very specific thing. https://warpcast.com/yb/0xd370ae58

Cold means you don’t transact from it If you sign a malicious txn from hardware you’re just as cooked
