have skimmed through quickly on the topics in #2 but would appreciate an eli5 on 7702 + changes to wallet ux, MegaETH & monad differentiating factors, etc. happy to tip generously if someone can write up an (extended) cast worth of takeaways to keep in mind for these changes

MegaETH vs Monad: MegaETH: - super high performance (100k TPS+ with 1ms block times) - Ethereum L2 + uses $ETH - not very concerned with validator set decentralization. single beefy sequencer by design relying on fault proofs/zk proofs to provide security Monad: - high performance (~10k TPS with 500ms block times) - Layer 1 chain, uses $MON - relatively decentralized validator set (~70 on testnet right now) - custom consensus algorithm based on HotStuff

7702 basically lets your EOA "become" a smart contract. You can set account code in a backwards compatible way. This means, unlike something like EIP-4337 style account abstraction, you can continue using your wallets as usual and your current address can become a smart wallet. Key benefits include multicall (e.g. approve + transfer in single txn), gas sponsorships (paymasters), custom permissions for others to spend from your account and so on

7702 will do things like eliminate the need to approve trnx before you swap. Bankless had a good pod on Megaeth vs monad https://youtu.be/1qZbLyHPErg?si=lUIQFSjuFeGPDn4-
