Yeah it’s on my fridge, so I’d have to get up, which is enough to break the habit. Even if I was close by, there’s a feeling of impending shame if I unbrick myself to waste time on socials, which again is enough to break the habit. Screen limits didn’t work for me, too quick to ignore.

I’ve been on and off journaling for years, but it always felt a bit pointless - once the note is finished, it’s never revisited; journals are tossed once they’re filled to avoid clutter, and even if I kept them it’s not like I can easily look something up anyways. For the last few days I’ve been transcribing pics of my journal pages using ChatGPT and saving them in Notion, which feels life changing - at least all that creativity doesn’t seem throwaway. My husband says if I die, these will be perfect to fine-tune an agent replica of me, so there’s another perk.

Agreed, the quality of the feed nosedived (hopefully temporarily) with the recasts 😞 I guess it’s either: folks stop requiring recasts or clients will deprioritize/allow to mute recasts in the feed, which nicely gets around the problem 🤷‍♀️

Frames show what’s possible when social networks are not castle-walled.

We’ll definitely move towards “augmented” by AI, where maybe most tasks we do today will be done by some model, but we’ll still need experienced people to “steer” them. I don’t think we’ll straight up lose all jobs any time soon
