Pears are ripening. They are delicious but I never learned what kind they are. The tree was already there when I got my garden.

Could be, what app did you use? Keep in mind I'm in Europe, varieties are different than in the US. 

In September there is a free consultation with a pomologist in my hood, I was able to bring my apples last year and identified them as Jakob Fisher. My pears are early ripening though and don't last till then.
