What's the difference between a company's vision and a narrative?

A doodler and computerer. I like permissive/permissionless open source, smart contracts, p2p systems, room-scale VR, and NixOS.

I came to read the most obvious comment about a temporal and cultural difference, and those comments were nowhere to be found.

I would say that vision is a fundamental believe for the long term future you are trying to realize as a founder. Narrative is some short term sidetrack to grab extra attention opportunistically.

Call it generally what you want but here’s how I see it:

- vision: what you sell yourself on
- narrative: what you sell the customers on 
- pitch: what you sell your investors on
