The first one that comes to mind is I was surprised to learn how advanced Incan sailing/ship building was (basically onpar with their contemporary deepsea European and Chinese counterparts) followed by the lost civilizations of Amazon rainforest. There’s plenty about NA natives too like the Mississippi mound builders
