The best thing about screenwriting is there is no advanced theory.

I write all of my screenplays like ikea furniture manuals. A contents list, lots of confusing images, and a telephone number in case help is needed.

It’s good! I liked the oners. Episode 2 was a real achievement. Good performances. Only note is the “because Andrew Tate” motive felt lazy, although the show isn’t really about the motive. What did you think?

Loved it. Bold to attempt it all in one take and an incredible achievement to pull it off, especially when some scenes were separated by miles or motorway. Agree on the Andrew Tate thing but it is relevant and I think it was a nice way to frame an uncomfortable question. Especially because they didn't attempt to answer it. Episode 3 stood out particularly to me, Erin Doherty was brilliant as the psychologist, and Owen Cooper had the right amount of concentrated screentime to really shine. In general, I thought it was a masterpiece of acting, writing, and production. I have no idea how much of it was adlibbed, but I kept thinking how the fuck are they not forgetting lines, or not getting the giggles, or just not focussing when they need to focus knowing they have the pressure of a one shot one hour piece to get through? Extraordinary.
