I feel like I've stepped into a bustling and passionate community, didn't expect such a nice welcome. I should start with my introduction so that you people know where I come from, at least. I am a journalist. I was born in Pakistan and currently live in New York. I usually cover Pakistani politics and it's relationship with US foreign policy.

For the past two and a half years I have been covering the military coup in Pakistan that was backed by the Biden admin. The coup unleashed a new era of human rights violations in the country because Biden admin has specific foreign policy goals for the country.

What that entailed and how it played out for Pakistan is something that I have been reporting on. I sometimes also write on tech and love to code. Anyway, if you are interested in these things, you can follow me.

Will read, but the title already suggests that our politics may not be aligned :) But always open to different perspectives about polarizing actors

Always open to new ideas. I don't really have a specific loyalty in the US political spectrum and actively try to check my biases.

Challenge with the Lina Khan regime is that the aggressive antitrust posture was coupled with a very poor understanding of business (she had 0 commercial experience) as well as a willingness to push the boundary of statutes Excessive rulemaking and broad interpretation of powers led to court curtailment of FTC privileges (eg. AMG) as well as just generally optics of the FTC as a weaponized agency -- much like the Gensler SEC This op-ed was very telling: https://www.wsj.com/articles/why-im-resigning-from-the-ftc-commissioner-ftc-lina-khan-regulation-rule-violation-antitrust-339f115d
