UPDATE: Still now power here in Madrid. I’ve been hearing emergency vehicle sirens more and more frequently. Telecommunications are spotty. I can’t call my friend. My building still has WiFi that works somehow. I’m charging my phone through my laptop which I thankfully charged completely over night. Conserving phone usage bc we still don’t know how long this blackout will last.

the coverage is limited everywhere, because no one has access to a reliable internet connection

I've got electricity power and good internet connection at home since 5:45 p.m. (was lost some minutes before 1:00 p.m.)
100km. NE of Barcelona.
Bad 4g/5g. Seems phone towers are randomly powered as only about 50% of catalan territory has recovered from the blackout.
