UPDATE: Still now power here in Madrid. I’ve been hearing emergency vehicle sirens more and more frequently. Telecommunications are spotty. I can’t call my friend. My building still has WiFi that works somehow. I’m charging my phone through my laptop which I thankfully charged completely over night. Conserving phone usage bc we still don’t know how long this blackout will last.

the coverage is limited everywhere, because no one has access to a reliable internet connection

I can say that at this moment Spain has recovered 61% of the electric power as reported on national radios. Non-digital radio have been the main way to being updated during the blackout. In my zone about 8 out of 10 shops closed because couldn't accept only cash or scan products. Trad local shops were opened accepting cash.
