what is the golden standard for self custody personal setups these days? currently thinking 2/3 multisig with 2 hot wallets across 2 devices and 1 ledger what is yours?

IMO multisigs should only come into play when governance is involved. Not just DAOs, but even like, regular old estate planning, which might be what you're doing. Most of what I do is shuffling funds between EOAs at different security levels, from hot Metamask wallets to cold hidden and encrypted wallets.

legit question, i may be irrational here: aren't you afraid that your private keys weren't generated properly or there was some weird leak outside of your control and your assets can be drained one day and you will learn too late? multisig is inconvenient but the likelihood that 2 pks are compromised is much lower

If you generated those keys the same way, then they would both get popped and you're in the same place 🤷 What you're talking about *does* happen, but mostly in new, experimental wallets. I do also keep some assets custodially, so the odds of me losing everything at once are minimal. Diversify Risk 🧐

what's the process to go from dice rolls or coin flips to private keys?
