Thx @clfx.eth  I have a potential job for a vineyard in the spring hence the trial. This system is a TLUD method. Top lit up draft. I incorporated a retort kiln in the top too to make use of the waste heat to make some lumpwood charcoal too (not pictured). I won't be using this method, not suitable for my needs but a fun tryout! On to the next one!

No problem, I've been a bit quiet lately 😉. Gonna use a flame cap method but got to have someone build it for me first so I can trial it😏. Lumpwood is definitely for BBQ 🤝🍺

sorry missed this brother. congrats on the potential job! what's the full service you'd be offering to the vineyard? 

have you tried any other methods since you found TLUD wasn't suitable? also what's the lumpwood charcoal for? cooking / smoking? or just heating
