Weird, but I have a private Instagram that I use as my diary. I have about 2900 posts over the last 10 years. 

Usually I have something relevant on my camera roll from the past few days, and I usually never exceed the word limit. It’s a mix between memes, photos, mostly small comments, and some long paragraphs.

But I’d worry about building on a centralized platform. Is it possible to export from IG? If not, what happens to your decades of pics & posts if Instagram shuts down? I’d rather build w/ a view toward posterity and keep a diary w/ easy export. Right now I use Roam, but could easily export to Obsidian to or similar

If collaboration is important, I’d echo what someone else mentioned about trying out Apple Notes and Apple Reminders (if you’re on iPhones).

The IG appreciation was for the pleasant format and familiarity. 

Not so useful as a planner, mind, so not what we’re looking for here.
