Allowance system is changing again. Who in the community are the DEGEN team listening to? Almost everyone I’ve talked to really likes the new allowance system. It’s not a good look to continue changing things so rapidly. It gives me major “we’re trying to fix the current downtrend in price” vibes. Did we really even give the new @openrank allowance system enough time to cook before deciding to try something else?

to me it looks like removing powerbadge users removes an element that isn't controlled by 'degen' which could be positive cos it allows the degen team to have more control and disconnect from the negative sentiment currently surrounding the pb but also a negative because it's looking like the symbiotic relationship between wc + degen is breaking apart looking at the dune query, it just looks like they took a snapshot and anyone who gets a pb from today onwards won't be entitled to the 1k bonus allocation (to prevent gaming of the system potentially?)

I’m less worried about the PB change than I am the staking degen for allowances change.

agree - not a fan of staking degen at all for me, i think my ideal would've been airdrop rewards being 'staked' when claimed and then being slowly unlocked based on some criteria the mention of staking feels like a not very thought out way of trying to maintain degen entering the market but the news itself is bearish enough to cause a dump and probably should've been something to keep tight-lipped about pretty sure there was literally a token the other day that mentioned whether or not they should have staking and that was pretty much insta-dumped too - the market doesn't want to be forced to hold something, it needs to be held by conviction and blind faith
