They may have fun, but the competition in AI is way higher. Crypto is starved of good products, and you can always integrate AI into crypto. 

I do, however, agree that AI feels reminiscent of early app development in terms of its allure.

oh yeah is it a lot more skilled people in AI?

I think that AI is a mixed bag. Vibe coding is fun. Creatives with ideas can build shit pretty easily. 

However, making an app and making an app that makes money are two very different things. 

I think most of AI will be gobbled up and money will be made by few, whereas crypto is decentralized so there is more opportunity IMO.
