I think it also depends on who you're targeting

if the project is targeting farmers and meme coin traders, then surely KOLs is the way to go! 

but if they're targeting someone long term into crypto, who's think before putting their money in a token, then makes sense to target creatooors.

that's a fair take! it's hard to select KOLs that actually have influence even among those audiences though
