Increasingly find that I can't bring myself to sell friends' legit project tokens until they hit a point where the sell wouldn't make a difference in their success.

I want them to win more than I want profits.

Only non-frens would get mad if you sell. Your money, your investment / gambling choices. Money and friendships don't mix.

Thinking more...it's not about the particular friend being disappointed/upset (I don't care if anyone sells my stuff and I assume reciprocity here) as it is the signal to the rest of the market.

Feel like it depends on the context. In almost every circumstance I agree, but imagine I would be annoyed if...

1) My projects' success was tied to the early success of a token
2) I really, and explicitly, care about the project
3) They have a lot and their sell obviously killed a still fragile market

It would be like a big angel investor not having a cliff and cashing out right after launch.

Yes, if it's a big early investor and could kill the project or generate a mega red candle - then it's a different story. They are ok to sell, but sell smart and responsibly.
