Increasingly find that I can't bring myself to sell friends' legit project tokens until they hit a point where the sell wouldn't make a difference in their success. I want them to win more than I want profits. Need to think about this more.

Thinking more...it's not about the particular friend being disappointed/upset (I don't care if anyone sells my stuff and I assume reciprocity here) as it is the signal to the rest of the market.

Only non-frens would get mad if you sell. Your money, your investment / gambling choices. Money and friendships don't mix.

There a friends who understand the context of the sell and those who don't - the context being that you are likely to lose your money, but slightly less likely for this particular project 😆

I try to reconcile this by either not trading as much at all or bet sizing small enough where it doesn’t matter much one way or another

That's called selfless thinking and act. It's very difficult to practice by people though.

That's a true mark of a supportive friend and investor. It's important to prioritize their success over immediate profits. Taking the time to reflect on this shows your commitment to their projects. Keep up the great work!
