I’ll be an official judge for Base during BUIDLathon week at ETHDenver. I’ve judged over a dozen Base buildathons and hackathons—here’s a cheat sheet to stand out: 1. Use Cursor or another AI-powered IDE 2. Make it work first; design comes last 3. Execution is 10× more important than the idea 4. Working links always beat Figmas/YouTube demos 5. If you build something and can prove you've already gotten users before the buildathon ends, you’ve already beaten 99% of other teams The biggest winners aren’t just those who take home prizes—they’re the ones who turn what they built into something real, something that makes money and gives them the freedom to live and work on their own terms. Founder mode > Hacker mode.

When the internet went mainstream, getting online meant getting an email—and with it, scam messages from oil heirs and distant royalty promising fortunes for a small favor. Many fell for it, chasing easy money, blind to the scam. The new internet is here. Everyone gets a wallet. Onchain is the new online. The game hasn’t changed that much—just the players. Memes shape culture. Watch out for vultures.

If you're learning to code, this free book is a quick read you can pair with Cursor. Just press CMD+I or CTRL+I inside it on Mac or PC to build some apps. Copy some from the book and then give it some of your own ideas—if you figure out how to make crypto fit in, you’re likely already building something no one else has ever made before. That’s how early we all still are. Ask Cursor for help when you're stuck—don't give up. :)
