seeking feedback, speaking for myself i think it would be a good idea to impose a 2 week moratorium on picture posts with banning as a possible consequence for the following reasons:

-the instagram spam is at a pretty bad level
-some ppl have clearly not read norms / channel announcements

backend eng; full-stack curious

writer, icon, retired rave queen

I like the intention behind this. I wish there could be a bit more nuance to it: some people are more visual than others and can communicate better that way (whether that’s a meme or photo).

What if we asked what content do we want in here, come up with a specific list of things and use that as an agreement 1/2

Biomimicry, Design Justice, sci-fi, and a tsp of fantasy.

Examples of specific topics:
- Conferences
- Challenges at work and how you navigated them
- Women in tech profiles
- Women in bio tech or other usually male dominated industry (like industrial design)
- Men in healthcare (or other usually female dominated industry) 2/2

I think it's harder to moderate such a large channel when we have more nuance. 
A Blanket rule can be implemented with @automod and then lifted later after new norms are understood
