wtf is the current meta of farcaster? was surprised to see hundreds of replies under every post on /trending but then i tried to read them and it's just spam? am i missing the meta? do i need to nurture spammy replies? will tip 1000 degen to everyone who likes, recasts and replies

A lot of it is farmers spamming for interaction to get degen tips, etc. There are real people in the replies tho. I have taking to sending out the occasional "ping this post if you are real" threads in no channel to make sure I know who I should be watching for.

Seems like you donโ€™t need to nurture them; they show up anyway. Lots of discord-like grind comments: โ€œThis project will be successfulโ€ โ€œSup broโ€ โ€œLFG canโ€™t waitโ€ And so on. Farcaster IS the new meta, but migration has brought past habits.

Thereโ€™s been a shift to more spammy farmers in some areas.. I donโ€™t look at trending much, though when I have itโ€™s been a mix.. will probably be a bit more of that w each bump of users.. Will see how it plays out.. itโ€™s been so great meeting people, learning tons, showing & seeing art. I donโ€™t want X here.

I don't know if you experienced the old times on vent but incentives worked back then for quality information about topics somebody wanted to know about, it's up to us to make a healthy use of current tools
