i made a kinda dumb cast month or so ago that i didn’t respect anon accounts that have nothing to lose so they attack people. i should’ve been more nuanced. i think pseudonymous accounts like roon, daniel, formerly beff jezos are essential to growing a social platform — and farcaster needs them. are any here?

I wish I could go anon but keep my followers. Even an approx signal (a zk badge that this anon account have X000 followers on main) would go a long way @kugusha.eth @warpcastadmin.eth what would fc need to do this in-protocol?

unfortunately, these badges are used by no one this is a very niche feature that even people who this feature is for don't use it there are many existing implementations of these — and none gained enough traction :) people think they need it, but they end up not using it

my POV: people don't care whether the account is anon/pseudanon. rather, people care about the vibe or energy an pseudanon account brings to a platform — unhinged, spicy, hysterical, often with an ounce of truth. the energy here is more akin to LinkedIn. imo easier to disrupt this energy using pseudanon accounts.

Ok what about a bot that announces the creation of a new anon account with X000 followers on main? Then ppl can follow the new account if they want That would help get over the initial grind for followers
