the client/app is great. privacy is shit. the fact that chats aren't e2ee by default in 2024 tells you something.

with this team not having e2ee is a *conscious* choice

they *want* all the messages to be plain text on the server so that anyone could read them

why / how did they end up making this decision? are they pro-russia or what
