Pretty much any company that relies on government contracts because the bureaucracy and lack of efficiency in big tech drove me crazy. I don't think I could handle it.

A company that
- isn’t focused on making products that customers _need_ not want
- prioritizes growth too early before finding PMF
- cares more about butts in seats at set times over quality of work
- doesn’t also prioritize wellbeing of employees
- is too risk averse to innovate

this would be such an amazing version of the future: no interviews, no organizational fluff, just tickets, bounties, you with a laptop on bahamas fixing bugs, building features, creating pull requests and getting rewarded for it

at least that's how I'd want it to happen

I hope I never have to work at a company again and contribute to open source protocols or other structures that are designed in the next few years

what would be a red flag for you to *not* join a company? like something that would be a deal-breaker in case all the 4 conditions are met

i would look for: 

- founder-led company 
- where people work hard 
- wide org structure (high manager:ic ratio)
- employee friendly comp (generous terms on equity)
