what sucks in farcaster ecosystem is the amount of breaking changes on the protocol level and on the api side of various services like neynar i know it's difficult to maintain backwards compatibility but for instance things i've built on tg in 2016 are still up and running today things i've built on farcaster even 1y ago are all broken now

I think that's a fair criticism. I got into Ethereum because I wanted to build things that will outlive me. I built lots of things on Twitter and Google APIs, all of which were broken/evicted/rugged. It's so tiring. My mainnet contracts from 2017 are still chugging along and probably will forever. Frontends break but I'm working to commoditize them so it won't matter.
