Not true at all It’s a prerequisite for creators/influencers, it’s the talking point of politicians, it influences algorithms, and to some degree, it’s a self fulfilling prophecy Many of the largest accounts on X botted their way to relevancy and it’s well documented

I didn’t say that wasn’t the case. I said people don’t pay attention to engagement if it doesn’t drive sales. None of the clients I work with give a damn about engagement if it doesn’t also come with revenue. Outside of brand building or specific product initiatives, paying attention to engagement is about one of the worst metrics you could look at and it has been for many years. Online advertising isn’t going to break was the point.
