I know some people have some different feelings about the emissions reduction for Moxie. Yes, we feel it, but my personal opinion is that it was needed for longevity. But I want to make sure the Tavern is heard! moxie is speedrunning what degen learned the hard way. emissions need to be throttled if the incentive is too strong. period. sense of entitlement goes up and avariciousness goes with it. ply your network with good money for bad work and watch your network turn toxic quickly. like the last few days of a coke binge.

moxie increasingly feels to me like the top-down corporate negative pole to degen’s bottom-up grassroots positive pole. i don’t know if that’s fair, but that’s how it *feels*

so that is almost EXACTLY how I described the systems' relationship before the word "moxie" was ever used. Top down, bottom up. Degen is intentional, active. Moxie is automatic, passive.
