I know some people have some different feelings about the emissions reduction for Moxie. Yes, we feel it, but my personal opinion is that it was needed for longevity. But I want to make sure the Tavern is heard! Please add any thoughts, suggestions, feedback to this frame and Iβll bring it to the team. https://frame.weponder.io/api/questions/9eda35c4-4a1f-4012-b3bd-7e4a1ec09fba

moxie is speedrunning what degen learned the hard way. emissions need to be throttled if the incentive is too strong. period. sense of entitlement goes up and avariciousness goes with it. ply your network with good money for bad work and watch your network turn toxic quickly. like the last few days of a coke binge.

moxie increasingly feels to me like the top-down corporate negative pole to degenβs bottom-up grassroots positive pole. i donβt know if thatβs fair, but thatβs how it *feels*

so that is almost EXACTLY how I described the systems' relationship before the word "moxie" was ever used. Top down, bottom up. Degen is intentional, active. Moxie is automatic, passive.

so yeah, agree. I would trade "corporate" for "artificial" -- moxie and Airstack aren't spiritless. but the machine they built is detailed and controlled. it is very synthetic. this also contrasts nicely against degen's organic quality.
