@greatgambino.eth has some meat to gnaw on: @razdva has realigned his network to dump allowances on Perl, presumably to thwart [ded...] and exit with bags intact. Now, @perl is aware and already taking action (their game, their discretion)... By pivoting, did razdva discover acceptable practice or is this still misconduct?

This one was a clear pivot to cash out because they were caught. If they honestly put it into perl and start betting, well thatโ€™s up to @ace and @peter and I trust that they have rails in place to make sure itโ€™s good faith. Iโ€™m hoping they will pivot to @degenpad and contribute to funding ITOs. That would be a nice ending to this story of farmer turned funder.

But they want to take the money. They're not allowed to just take the money (with extra steps)?

I guess they can try to money launder this way. Weโ€™ll see if the @perl team cracks down on it or not. I imagine they will but thatโ€™s just my gut talking.

No, I mean what I asked: Are we certain, as a community, what the entitlements are for allowances, given the locking requirement? ie, are we /sure/ that allowances are not yield?

I think Iโ€™m missing what you are implying because I mixed coffee and cold medicine ;)

imo we're kinda crippled by staking/ locking. I'm persuaded by arguments that locking entitles the locker to their allowance with fewer conditions than before. I agree that it "feels like yours" now in a way it didn't before. That skin-in-the-game sensation was meant to guide people towards better practice, but it also opens up "it's just mine and imma take it" rationalization. Did the degen vault give people who locked degen permission to use degen points however they see fit? Or not?

Iโ€™d say 100%. I don't think 3 months of locking measures 'skin in the game.' It made tipping a financial product, a short-term trade for those who don't really care about the project. You can easily create 100 accounts with 2m locked each and farm 1m a day. Why donโ€™t you? I think you somehow believe in the project and have a long-term vision. Not everyone is like you; some just see the math and abuse it.

Totally understand now. Yes, I think that was the interpretation even if it wasnโ€™t the teams intention. Especially for people who bought degen to tip, I could see them feeling like they are entitled to do whatever they want with it. I may not like it, I may not agree with it, but I see that side of the argument. I bought into @farther but the mechanics were very clear from day 1 and the team is aggressively anti farming, but itโ€™s been outlined in the rules early on and people knew what they were getting into. Degen has been too grey and the FAQ changing at the same time as season 6 had a lot of people reading in between the lines. Iโ€™m hoping it was just coincidence and a reaction to the backlash of the banning of the previous seasons. Heck, a ton of my tips got invalidated to @tokyowip and it sucked. All the other DAOs got their tips. Iโ€™m glad bans arenโ€™t happening at that level now because I think funding DAOs with tips is awesome & makes the ecosystem grow, but I clearly stepped on some toes
