kinda sorta. owning a building entitles you to NFT gallery templates, rather like Cyber but minimalist.

the idea being that the gallery is in the building, but there's no visual congruity; no view to the street and no entrance from the outside.

uuuuuh, hm. iirc you need to /own/ the building or unit's NFT before you can edit their interiors.

As of two years ago you could buy properties via OpenSea, but I don't know if that still works correctly.

Aether launched BEFORE NFT standards were codified (like CryptoKitties) and there are occasional problems with common-day NFT markets.

To answer your question: no permission, but you do need to own the property first.

the city itself grows algorithmically with the tallest buildings at the center, growing outward with community approval. the resemblance to NYC is a consequence of that algo.
