/degen channel was created one of the first and so it turns out that here is published different kinds of information, both useful and not very, as well as there are many bots here 🤖

earlier in the year, /degen had a lot of off-topic shilling from artists and artist types. that's an odd fit for a channel about reckless shitcoinery lol

I wish all channels were easy to understand.

I avoid posting on the degen channel. Unfortunately, some degens are very averse to artists. I was asked to stop posting there a while back 😂

Both channels need better moderation. I want to see more important casts like discussions about token price or updates on new dapps and apps in the main feed rather than just gn and gm

/degen will never be properly moderated, imo.
/degentokenbase is manually and automatically moderated, just stay outta recent unless you want to see everything that doesn't make it to main.

are you talking about the channel, the shitcoin, or the tip spam?

once in a while someone casts something interesting in /degen, it is pretty spammy tho.

but my streak is tied to it so I am in here daily 🙂

What was the reason for the channel change?

nah. moderation changes happened when merkle launched phase 1 of their "decentralize channels" project. until that point, i had a good moderation system in place to control spam. remember: this used to be my channel 😅

I think that's the gist of it. Degen channel got so swamped with tip posts I think they had to move it lol.
