Tariffs on the EU, today's big news, are not a total surprise.  Trump has often said (incorrectly) that Europe is worse than China on trade. These tariffs will have a big impact on the pharmaceuticals sector.

true but some businesses are much more suited to it than others

this is why destination-based cash flow taxes are a strong path forward, or just a LVT :)
