Builders on Farcaster... What values, principles, or beliefs guide your work? Alternatively, how do you relate to crypto ideals (however you think about those)? What resonates most deeply with you? (if you're not a builder, would hugely appreciate you tagging someone you think might have a thoughtful answer, or linking content that you resonate with) @bountybot can you set things up so that I can give 500 degen in tips for up to ten answers?

Thanks for replying! The original cast was almost certainly indirectly inspired by running into a bunch of your casts over the last week or so Love that you've so concisely codified the mission and values for Splits. And looking at the Notion doc date, quite early on! Some of it feels very Dalio-coded, I wonder if you've read Principles (or the internal doc preceeding it)? If you have time to expand, can I ask for the origin story of the mission/problem? Is it something you had trouble with yourself? Or something you noticed? 500 $DEGEN

i would describe the current mission is something we ~noticed Splits started as a hackathon project where @abram and I loved the idea of this very simple, trustless onchain primitive and thought we could improve on mirror's early merkle splitter design it took on a momentum of it's own after that for awhile, which continues to ebb and flow. A few times, we've paused to reflect and ask ourselves why any of this really matters; who's using it? what are they doing? why? what makes Splits special? what makes crypto special? why? ...why, why why? how can we break that down into language that regular people can understand? that my friends outside of crypto can understand? that my 3yo daughter can understand? time, iteration, and reflection brought us to the current version. But these things are never finished and we'll continue to learn / iterate / try to better understand this ~Thing we're a part of over time
