2. They get hidden by the algo and get frustrated.

People with plenty of quality casts are fine to use the network however they like. It’s the accounts that are virtually entirely all low effort content.

i wonder if there's a way to generate more algorithmic transparency that could help here?

on the simple end, use a link to a notion (so it can be updated regularly) which describes best & worst practices for encouraging responses & engagement. Could even make new users "sign" it like discord's flow that makes you acknowledge the server rules when you join

(though you might want to make them opt-out rather than opt-in if you were to implement in WC)

On the more advanced end.. I'd easily subscribe to regular, personalized "tips" from the algorithm on how to "engage" better
