is eip 6551 still kicking? how do cross-chain signatures work? i assume you have to actually submit a txn on the home chain

I feel this is a subset of account abstraction generally aka ERC-4337, where, as I understand it, you can do cross chain signatures as a first class primitive. An NFT could 'own' an AA wallet, but ultimately a paymaster needs to be involved and actually effectuating a transaction and that's where the devil lies in the details.
