has anyone written thoughtful long-form yet on crypto apps & their history / struggles?

what would you say are the top 3-10 crypto apps created so far?

off the top of my head, abstractly:

- storing value
- transferring value
- fundraising
- exchanging value
- borrowing/lending
- collecting/provenance
- ? something about prediction markets, as separate from predictions/provenance
- ?

“Crypto consumer” is another way to say “new token issuance platform”. Interestingly, FC is the only one that isn’t directly facilitating it (though it’s happening indirectly via users).

i feel like apps are different than crypto consumer and yet i can't deny all of these involve tokens (value) at their core
