how would you feel about a product that rewarded you with liquid tokens for using it, but every time you used a competitor's product, it divided future reward distributions by 50%? idea #2: same as above but opt-in. earn 1x rewards by default or 2x for putting a ring on it

details matter, esp what the token represents, blah blah blah BUT if using uber or lyft exclusively gave me free access to their equity i'd probably put a ring on it. that being said, it'd give me a ton of ~anxiety/anger if the one i was married to wasn't working (or really backed up) and i needed to get somewhere..

not able to quantify this but something does feel a bit wrong about it as a user. Like why are you so eager to lock me in, a bit of a turn off

yeah i feel that too. i think the framing is wrong. it should be "earn EVEN MORE for being loyal". anything blocking exit is sus

yeah if scale of rewards increased with volume or something that would probably feel extra nice

might end up getting the shit farmed out of it, but in general if you're using a token to incentivize something i think you should be in a position where having the shit farmed out of it is a long term win (e.g. building some kind of flywheel or network effect)

agreed. if the farming results in sustainable value accruing to the protocol then i think its win win. easier said than done
