Please join the discussion, would love to hear your opinions: I'm constantly thinking about how to improve this platform for artists, collectors and art enjoyers alike. I kind of left Twitter/X for various reasons, since Musk took over and turned it into a propaganda machine. But whenever I return there for a quick update, my art feed is really top notch. Almost everybody who is active here, also posts or cross-shares frequently on X as well. But more important, a lot of artist I want to follow and I want to be informed about only post there (and maybe on Bluesky, Mastodon, IG as well, don't know). Point is, they all have a Farcaster account, but turned their backs on the platform at some point or never really got into it. I would therefore be delighted if they were to return and exploit Farcaster's potential.

Specifically with gen art, I feel we're just lacking numbers here. Not just artists, but collectors, curators, commentators, shitposters etc. Take, for example, the recent Botto release. It's stirred up a massive storm over on X but when I search for Botto here, I only see a handful of posts. FC seems to be the place to be if you're a builder. There seems to be enough of a community here to keep it interesting if you're into app and general development. Sadly not for gen art I feel.

You're absolutely right, Benj. But I personally don't want to give up on this. X is not an option for me anymore. And I'm a little shocked at how many artists don't seem to care. Sure, rebuilding the same following and reach here, is a long rocky path. Probably impossible for now. And it looked a lot better a year ago with everybody searching for alternatives and joining Farcaster. Unfortunately, for various reasons, most did not stick with the platform.

Yea I completely understand where you're coming from. I really love the idea of a decentralized social graph. Won't be giving up on fc for sure. It just takes so much time to upkeep all the different social accounts. Really requires effort if I'm trying to engage in some meaningful discourse.
