Please join the discussion, would love to hear your opinions: I'm constantly thinking about how to improve this platform for artists, collectors and art enjoyers alike. I kind of left Twitter/X for various reasons, since Musk took over and turned it into a propaganda machine. But whenever I return there for a quick update, my art feed is really top notch. Almost everybody who is active here, also posts or cross-shares frequently on X as well. But more important, a lot of artist I want to follow and I want to be informed about only post there (and maybe on Bluesky, Mastodon, IG as well, don't know). Point is, they all have a Farcaster account, but turned their backs on the platform at some point or never really got into it. I would therefore be delighted if they were to return and exploit Farcaster's potential.

I don't use Web 2.0 socials like twitter, ig. Instead only Web3 platforms for communication & marketing (Warpcast, Rodeo, Bluesky, etc). None of these new platforms prioritize the artist, who show up, engage, are ignored, & leave. The artist is the key to platform success, unfortunately they're ignored from top down

Thanks for tuning in, Joey. As I already mentioned, neither for Warpcast nor Bluesky art is a primary *thematic* objective. I can't say anything about Bluesky, but Warpcast or Farcaster have never claimed to be a platform especially suited for or targeted at artists, so we can't blame them on failing in that respect. I absolutely get you on the point how crucial artists are for success and especially in web3 art is kind of baked into the whole idea. Rodeo is definitely different and I think they are prioritizing the artist and are doing a great job (at least, I'm personally enjoying the platform and using it heavily). What I can say for Farcaster is that the legos are there and we can build upon them. Would absolutely love to come up with a few improvements, that can ideally be done by ourselves. If you have some ideas or suggestions, don't hesitate to share them here.

It will be hard for artists to succeed here. There are people in this world that care about and support art, and people that don't. You won't find success with arts working with people that don't value or support it. Maybe it's time for artists to roll their own platform, keep the value for themselves
