The book had a huge impact on my general understanding of graphic design being much more than doing beautiful, on-trend, zeitgeist designs. Rather being a discipline where you must strive to transform (raw) data into real decodeable information (on many levels) and aiding the user in understanding through well-thought human-centered communication.
